Hooker's fairy bells is a favorite of Joan Zimmerman among the wild flowers of the Berry Creek Falls Loop Trail of the Big Basin State Park.

The pair of leaves at the end of each stem gives a hint that bell-shaped blossoms might be visible beneath:
